Turn Student Data into Actionable Insights

Predictive models built for your institution turn student data — including engagement and behavioral data — into insight: who is at risk, and why.

Turn Student Data into Actionable Insights

Consolidate Data Sources into One System

Student information in one place, beside the insight that explains it. Leaders and frontline staff can filter, segment, and reference it all term.

Consolidate Data Sources into One System

Give every office the same student record

One governed dataset behind the advisor, the registrar, the dean, and IR, with shared definitions of student, term, cohort, and program. No more three offices answering one question three ways.

The institutional scoreboard

Every office gets a number. This page is one of six.

Enrollment, engagement, persistence, graduation, and career outcomes, each measured against a comparison group. The same data, the same model, one ledger for the cabinet, the board, and the Department of Education.

Your data stays yours

Civitas works under FERPA as a school official you designate, with a published data sharing agreement and platform specifications. Accessibility conformance reports are available on request. Security and privacy → Trust Center →

Frequently asked questions

Questions institutions ask about curate & share student data

Short answers, in the words a cabinet uses. For anything not here, ask us directly.

Why do our offices report different numbers for the same thing?

Each office reads a different copy of the data with a different definition. One governed dataset with shared definitions of student, term, cohort, and program makes the registrar, advising, and IR numbers match.

How do we share student data across offices without breaking FERPA?

Role-based access on one record, under a data sharing agreement, with Civitas as a designated school official. Staff see what their role requires, and access is auditable.

How long does it take to get the data unified?

Weeks, not years, depending on how many systems are in scope. Lawrence Technological University was live in six weeks.

What if our data is messy?

Most institutional data is, and the integration work assumes it. The real constraint is usually agreement on definitions, so the Customer Development team starts that conversation early.

Who can see a student's record?

Only the roles the institution grants. You set the access model; Civitas enforces it.
